Overview
One of the most beautiful and demanding Rotala varieties. Large broad rose-pink leaves create spectacular groupings in the aquarium.
Appearance
Broad lanceolate leaves with wavy edges, rose-pink to raspberry color. Stems reach 30-50 cm. Leaves up to 3 cm wide.
Care
Demanding species. Requires very bright lighting, stable CO2, soft water and nutrient-rich substrate. Without CO2 the color fades and growth slows.
Fertilizing
High nutrient demand. Macro and micro fertilizers are essential. Without enough iron the leaves turn green.
Breeding
Propagated by 8-12 cm stem cuttings.
